Proposition 203: The Arizona Medical Marijuana Act
Proposition 203 allows the use of medical marijuana for people with qualifying medical conditions, and establishes a regulatory system governed by the Arizona Department of Health Services to oversee licensed medical marijuana dispensaries.
The Process of Getting Your Medical Marijuana Card:
First, schedule an appointment with a licensed medical practitioner to see if your medical condition qualifies for the use of medical marijuana.
Qualifying Conditions Include:
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Lou Gehrig’s Disease
- Cachexia or Wasting Syndrome
- Chronic Pain
- Crohn’s Disease
- Hepatitis C
- HIV or AIDS
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Severe Nausea
If you qualify, your licensed practitioner will provide you with a medical marijuana recommendation. With the recommendation, you can now schedule an appointment to get a medical marijuana card through a state certified physician. If your application gets approved, your card should arrive within a few weeks and with it, you can legally obtain medical marijuana from any Arizona state licensed MMJ dispensary.
